I have booked to stay at these apartments for two weeks in August. I read the reviews first and although mixed felt for the price they would be ok. However, having read a recent review I am a little concerned both about the apartments and their location and considering changing my accommodation.
Does anyone have anymore information on these apartments as I am in two minds what to do.
My son and his girlfriend have booked to stay at the Sayar on 18th July.
They have not stayed there before, but the location is about a 20-25 minute walk yo the beach and shops. But the dolmus runs past every couple of minutes and is very cheap. Don't be put off by just one persons opinion, you need to look at a range of opinions as everyones view is different.
Hope you have a lovely time, will e-mail you when they get back if you like

Hi Deana
Thanks. I hope they have a good time and will check for a review upon their return. 6 of us are going, 2 adults and 4 kids (6-15) on the 5th August so there might just be time to read how they found the place.

Hi Susie,
My wife ,daughter and I stopped at the sayar last june and found the apartments to be great. The only problem is some of the rooms do not have aircon and in august that might be a problem,it was hot enough in june.
The bar has a buy one get one free hour everyday and the food we got from the restaurant were ok as well.I think that too many people pay 2 star prices and expect 5 star luxury and thats why some of the reviews are like they are.
Yes the sayar are basic but they are clean and tidy, not too far fom the beach and anyway the dolmus runs past the end of the road every 3 minutes or so.I dont go to Turkey to lounge around a small pool all day at the apartment so if the rooms arent quite up to scratch so wat.
I wouldnt take much notice of some of the reviews just go and enjoy yourself,I'm off in 2 weeks time and this time I'm stopping at the Cennet apartments, never been in them before but as long as they are clean and tidy I wont care, all i'll be doing is sleeping there not much else.
Have a good holiday, anymore questions about the sayar then just ask,
Paul

Hi Paul
You have convinced me the Sayar will be fine. I have also found a review on another site from someone who has just returned confirming they are ok and had a bit of a facelift over the winter so I'm happy with my choice, just hope I get the aircon in my room.
Have a good holiday and thanks for putting my mind at rest.

My son is staying in the Sayar apartments, they are reasonable for the price paid.
The pool and pool area is a good size and clean, the staff are good fun.
The bar is reasonable a beer is 3.5 - 4 YTL.
they have a happy hour every day buy one get one free on cocktails and spirits beer 2 for the price of 3, but not on soft drinks.
The staff are all very friendly and helpful especially the receptionist.
The balcony is very big, the rooms are ok, basic as you expect in Turkey, no shower curtain!

Hi Deana
Thanks for letting me know how your son is getting on. I hope he is enjoying his holiday. I go on Friday and looking forward to it. There has been a few more favourable reviews since I booked so hopefully the Sayar will be fine. I can cope with basic as long as the apartments are clean. Going with some friends now who managed to book the Sayar too so i doubt we will spend too much time in the apartment itself. Glad to hear about the happy hour!!

Hiya Bobsy
It is standard practise in Turkey with S/C accom that you only get supplied with your first 'roll' after this you have to buy your own supply. However you can buy in any local shop/market - But just dont expected your cushioned/embossed 'andrex' type paper!!
The Sayar is quite far back in the Armulatan area of Marmaris - about a 20 minute walk to the front - however you can get a dolmush which will take you down the front in minutes. There are also lots of bars/restaurants back that way to keep you fed, watered & amused.
Bar street in Marmaris is mostly clubs, Beach street is mostly restaurants, bars & karoake bars
Have fun
