as I believe is the situation everywhere outside the UK, yes its available, but not legally - I don't have it, but friends do

its presumably available on the same terms as in Spain ?? (ie illegally)

It will all be in breach of copyright law however if you were to subscribe to Sky from a British address and take the card and receiver over to Malta with you (or buy a receiver locally) it is possible to get some of the Sky package channels depending on your dish size. Unfortunately Malta is further afield of the 'footprint' than Spain and in order to receive most of Sky's packages you will need an enormous dish!

a touch smaller than Jodrell Bank!

Do you need a TV licence for Gozo/Malta ? if so how much does it cost?

yes you do - our bill for last year was Lm 24 - its about Lm 20 per annum for the first tv and about Lm 4 for the second

(there is also a Lm 80 per annum tax if you have a swimming pool, but no council tax :D)
