We stayed at the Real Bellavista two years ago and it's a lovely hotel in a quiet cul de sac.Its about a ten minute stroll to the Modelo supermarket,and the hill back to the hotel isnt too steep(In my opinion),but it is uphill nearly all the way.

Thank you - was it a long walk from mcdonalds? I have stayed at the brisa sol so i kind of know the location. is it a lonely walk at night ?

Not far from McDs at all. Turn left out of the "restaurant" and then left at the end of the parade of shops (Swatch roundabout) and it's about a three minute walk from there. Not a particularly lonely walk, as there are a couple of bars and other holiday accommodation en route.

Have you looked at Brisa Sol or Villa Gale Cerro Alagoa, which are right opposite McDonalds?

I have stayed at the Bellavista and it was a nice hotel but a bit of a hike back. Actually we never did walk it once, we used a taxi. Some of the websites say it's 800m from the beach. Yeh, right!
