Hi, I know this is not strictly a holiday related question but this seems the best source of info I could find. My friends have a villa in Ovacik and the grass on their lawns is pretty awful. They want to replace it with a hard wearing type of grass that requires little maintenance and water but don't know what to ask for or where to buy it from in Turkey.
Can anyone help?
The best time to sow grass is in March or April.
Grass seed; 'Cim tohum'
A mix of the following has been recommended to me. I do not know the Turkish names but a seed merchant would probably recognise the names.
Lolium Perenne 30%
Festuca Arandionos 50%
Bermuda grass 20%
The best place to start could be the agricultural merchants on the road out of Fethiye towards Esenkoy and Antalya
