Apologies for this thread but hey we can't all be perfect!!!
Avon do a good foot spray. Also I find if I scrub my feet at night with a peppermint based foot scrub they stay much fresher for longer. I was once told not to put talc on my feet as it caused the pores to block causing even more smell. Hope this helps. Also wear open sandals without a plastic insole and avoid the dreaded trainers.!
thanks Helen, even wearing sandals I can feel my feet 'sliding' on a hot day it's so uncomfortable not nice at all.
but I'll give it a try

Hi halfanagel, you can get a special foot deodorant from the chemist. it's similar to the one for underarms, I think the underarm one is called Driclor or very similar. Anyway I read in a magazine the other night that there's one for your feet too and it's supposed to keep your feet dry for 24-48 hours. If you have an independant chemist try asking about it, meantime I'll try and find the article if I haven't thrown it out. Linda x
Hi again, I just typed driclor foot deodorant into google and it's there. Sounds pretty good to me! Hope you find something that helps, have a great holiday! Linda x
Halfanangel, I suggest you try a lotion called Perspirex for Sweaty Hands and Feet. Available from any chemist and I think you will be chuffed with it.
Hi
My Step Daughter suffers really badly from sweaty feet too, even in the winter, she has a spray from the Chemist, ( I will ask her what its called) and it helps her. Also she does wear trainers, but always uses the little trainer socks too and she doesn't have any problems.
Good luck and have a great holiday.

Hi
Just spoken to my Daughter and the product she uses is called Gewhol. I think that is the correct spelling.

I just bought the Avon foot spray online for £1.50.
It's brilliant and has antibacterial properties in it as well.

Wonderful pictures!!
Back to the sweaty feet problem. I find I also have sweaty feet in hot weather but have found that it is much helped by having sandals/mules which have a leather/suede/nubuck type lining. A man made lining to the sandal only makes the sweating worse and causes the foot to slide!
Fly flots sandals and mules are great as they have a natural lining and are also anti bacterial treated. They now do some trendy styles too.
I have also heard that you shouldn't use talc as it makes matters worse. The same is said for under the bust perspiration.

I use talc so am glad I popped in here now
I too prefer to have the mules with the nubuck lining, they are great.
Also, if wearing trainers, only cotton socks, and but a size bigger so the air can circulate inside the trainer.

I just live in flip flops. I couldn't contemplate wearing anything else. I always carry some talc just in case of rubbing, but hardly ever need it. Some people say to use vaseline, but I find a quick dust of talc does the job if I have become particularly sweaty or damp for any reason. There's been a lot of talk about Crock shoes, but they just look so sweaty to me. I can't imagine having my feet enclosed in anything!
Feet do tend to get grubby, particularly around the heels when wearing flip flops, but I find a quick rub with a soapy flannel each day does the trick.
