Hello Sheba, I suppose the weather has been responsible for you not "keeping up" as Doe likes to say. 
The whole thing refers to the fact that Trip Advisor have voted Swisscare the number one hotel in Egypt. Alvin sent an email out to his contacts, drawing attention to the fact, but unfortunately, it appears that many of the said contacts have spam filters which are too sensitive and so only some of us received it. You'd think it was a cheque for a thousand quid, the fuss some of them made about not getting it!
So that, dear Sheba, is it, in a nutshell! Funnily enough, my missus and I are staying at the number one hotel in Egypt for two weeks, starting this thursday!
Promise to bore you rigid with it when we return!

Weather has caused a few problems...we flooded 4 years ago when Boscastle did and it has taken this long to recover (and we didn't get the royal visit!) so just live in dread of it happening again!!

Thanks but I really need a standard Oxford English Dictionary. Does nt have to be new... better if it isnt... we don t want all these new so-called words popping up on the scrabble board !
