Elle... those prices were just for the flights... and with taxes and that the price was GBP 119 per person for a week's trip. Thomsonfly are now doing December 1st for GBP 104 return including taxes and that. For February the flights might be higher... but may go down closer to the arrival date as happened with flights in November and December.
Such price cutting close to the arrival date suits people who can switch the their holidays around to get the beat deals but works against families. Usually in February you won t find many kids around ( if any ).
Usually it can be a bit chilly in February, especially at night. This year however, February was abnormally warm - usually several degrees above average.

As Swiss has said they were just the flights to Taba, but a week for two for £500 in total is amazing value if you can get it...
Just wish I had the holiday to take advantage...

Prompted by Everests comment in another thread, I have just been reading the reviews on the Swisscare Resort that appear on Trip Advisor.
All I can say is congratulations to Alvin and his staff. They have actually proved that all the "being the best" stuff they used to "bore" everyone with a couple of years ago, before Swisscare opened, is really achieveable. How refreshingly nice to see someone being successful AND sticking to their principles.

Swissacre
Lo, and it shall be known from this day forth as Swissacre.
Keep up the good work Alvin.
Must be bigger than that, surely
I've seen those TA reports too (need a few more on here) and the nice thing is they are from unbiased guests - a few of us have commented on how nice the place is, but perhaps knowing Alvin and the Swisscare as we do risk being a little less objective.
We hope you have many many more satisfied guests Mr S, and they enjoy the peace and quiet as much as we have over the past couple of summers.

I know what you mean Alan, I feel a little embarrassed every time I mention Swisscare because everyone knows that we know Swiss and probably thinks we say nice things for that reason. Now he may be the nicest guy in the world but i'm sure he knows and I hope everyone else realises that if I didn't like some aspect of his hotel I wouldn't hesitate to say so. But, credit where credit is due!
Thank you kindly Big Orange Gentleman !
One little question about those glowing TA reviews. One tells how a guest enjoyed fish caught fresh off the reef that day according to his 'host'. I presume that means you, Swiss.
Comment? Which of my soggy friends did you fry, poach or sushi?

I noticed that too, Alan. I suspect that either on of Swiss's staff was fishing or Swiss bought some fish from one of the Bedouins who often fish there.
No... not actually from our reef but from the fishermen at Maizena.
Right - are those the guys who are over the Hilton reef at about 6am every morning? Trying to catch the Red Mouse Grouper?
Alan,
What is a Red Mouse Grouper? I know there are quite a few different types of grouper in the red sea but I cant find that one. You dont mean the Red Mouth Grouper, do you?

My answer on Rambling
Inspiring, Everest.
If that doesn't sell rooms at Swisscare Alvin should stay in Cairo.
