Hi
Can anyone tell me what type of aircraft is doing Manchester - Las Vegas TCX124 tomorrow?
Thanks
Sunaddict,
Great thanks for the speedy reply Darren
I'm sorry if this question has already been answered, but I can't find an exact match! We were due to fly to Cancun in August, but due to unforseen problems did not go. We have just received our insurance payment and are in a position to rebook. Originally we were flying on a flight with 33" legroom, and IFE, but I'm unclear is this likely to be the same now? I need to know this before I book if possible, as my husband is 6'4" and this is a deal breaker for him , otherwise we'll try Thomson. It would be Gatwick to Cancun, probably in October. Thanks in advance.
Juliet
Yes, the same aircraft is used (long haul A330-200). All the aircraft dtails are on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).
Darren
Ok, thanks for your quick reply,
Hi, we are flying to the Dominican Republic from Manchester on Saturday 1st Oct. Does anyone know if Thomas Cook offer an upgrade to your choice of inflight entertainment. I have looked on the Thomas cook magazines and it says 'Additional movie' on some films. Does anyone know the cost of this. Thanks.
As far as I know Thomas Cook do not offer upgrades on inflight entertainment.
There's no upgrade on IFE on TCX as there's no longer any premium service. The only aircraft to have a system capable of this is G-TCXA, that's assigned to short haul for the summer.
Darren
Thanks for that, it is from this seasons magazine that it says 'additonal movie 1,2,3'. Does this mean that its included and we can choose it instead of it been on for everyone or all the film scheduled and everyone watches the same. Its just we have a 5 year old with us who probably wont want to watch half the programs!
The IFE is a looped based system. The films are on channels, you simply choose which channel you want to watch but have to wait until the system loops to watch it from the beginning. I linked screen shots from our What Aircraft? guide (link below). You probably won't have the additional movies.
Darren
When we flew to Dom Rep in July/Aug the flight crew played all the extra films on the flights both ways which was a bonus.

hi can anybody tell me what aircraft TCX4932/4933 BHX-BJL-BHX?? THANKS...
Jonouk1211,
Hi Darren or anyone else who can help, I'm flying a week tomorrow on TCX244 to Holguin from Manchester with Thomas Cook. It says on the website I can check in online as we've paid for seats, I think from 3 days before you can fly. If I choose to do this, will I have to print off the boarding pass off then drop my bags off the night before at the airport or would I still have to go to check in to get my boarding pass and bags weighed? I've never done it before so not sure how it works. Thanks:)
If you want to check in online you have to have selected your seats and submitted API. Check in opens 7 days before departure and close 3 working days (not incl. Sat and Sun) prior. You print your boarding passes, and take your luggage to the bag drop desk on the day of departure to be weighed and tagged.
Ok thanks, yes I've submitted API and selected my seats already. I was just wondering would it really save me much time checking in online as opposed to doing it when I get to the airport as long as I get there early enough. My flight's at 11.50 so need to be there around 7.30am. Cheers.
4.5 hours before your flight is a long time to be there. Check in won't even be open.
Thanks Sunaddict, yes I agree it is a bit early. We just figured as we're staying in the hotel right on the airport and we'll probably up early through excitement, we'd get there as early as possible so we can get in the VIP lounge and drink it dry before we fly lol.
Lol. I think landside at Manchester is completely naff now there's nothing there but check in desks. I used to like it when it had shops and restaurants! Not a lot to do if you have to wait a long time for check in to open.
