Hi,
Asking on behalf of a friend and hopefully somebody clarify something regarding booking extra legroom seats with TC.
My friend and his wife have booked a holiday to Florida (flying out in July) At the time of booking they were told they would have to book extra legroom seats at a later date. However, having phoned TC yesterday, they have been told that they can't book the extra legroom until 14 days before their departure date ...... is this correct? I do realise that they cannot book the extra legroom for their return flight as it is basically a free for all ...... first come, first served basis!
Pat
Extra legroom for both flights can be booked 90 days before the first departing flight.
The ex premium seats cannot be prebooked outbound and are allocated on a lottery basis. They can be booked inbound, usually around £50 per seat, at the time of booking. You can't select the seat numbers though until 90 days before departure.
How can i enter my API details when thomas cook's "add api" keeps crashing ?
Just keep trying. If it doesn't work, your details can be taken when you check-in at the airport. Details are on Thomas Cooks website.

I had the same trouble last week . It would let me input all the details and then come up with an error when i tried to click on "Next"
After speaking to customer services i found out that the earliest you can supply the information is 28 days before you travel . Hence the error message ( Although even that does not tell you that you are trying to input your details too early !!! )

It would have been nice if this was flagged up at the start of the process when entering my departure date and before filling in 6 lots of API info .............. nah too easy that !!!

Hope this helps

thanks all,
greg, if your flying on Monarch you won't be able to input API on flythomascook.com. It will be taken from your passport at check in.
booked with direct holidays - flying with monarch n staying in resort with TC - just that tickets said complete api on website
Hi. Has anybody got any idea why tcx3212 from glasgow to tenerife was 7 hours late today?
Hi, I am flying Thomas Cook to Dalaman on a 76W. I went to book the seats this morning and all where available. My husband wnats to choose the front seats and we have 2A, B, D, E,F, G & H - Do you know what is in front is it restricted leg room, and are the seats smaller in width? we fly 12th August from Manchester. Thanks
Welcome onboard

The 76W is the aircraft code for Boeing 767-300/ER (winglets). You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below) including a link to the seating plan, aircraft and cabin photos. This aircraft has an all economy layout. The front row has a bulkhead in front. They are extra legroom seating. Seat widths are slightly narrower than standard seats as the tray tabes fold out of the arm rest.

Thomas Cook TCX8416 / TCX8417 to Larnaca from Leeds / Bradford 01/08/2012
Think its an Airbus A320-200
Just logged on and only 5 seats have been booked so far
Any advice on which 3 seats to book and which to avoid?
Thanks in advance
Seating is personal preference. It's whatever you prefer. They're all much of a muchness other than extra legroom.

Is there anyway of knowing whether the 757's operating LGW-HRG will be the one's with the reactivated IFE, only I read elsewhere that that two without IFE would not be used on this route during last weeks July and August?
I also wondered about Thomas Cook reintroducing IFE from this month - there is an update on the Thomas Cook Airlines website detailing which planes will show IFE and listing the films until July. I understood only wide bodied flights would have entertainment on short / medium haul, but it mentions B752 and B753 flights which have entertainment systems on board showing films.
Only A32* and two B757's wont have it everything else will
Thanks Befree, I always thought it was short-sighted to get rid of IFE, especially for families - I find mid-haul flights long and boring, so they must be a nightmare for parents with young children - at least it keeps them occupied, giving parents a easier time and other passengers peace and quiet - a win win situation!
Looks like all B752s and B753s will now have IFE, with the exception of TCBB & TCBC - we are travelling on TCX3212 Glasgow to Tenerife on 13 July and returning on TCX3213 on 27 July. How soon will we be able to find out if we are likely to be on TCBB or TCBC i.e. will have no entertainment?
theyoungcrew,
Thanks Darren
