G-DAJC is on lease to Condor I think.

buster27,

Film on loop just means they when they are played, you have to watch it from whatever point the film is at when you put it on. If the film started 30 minutes ago, you'd have to watch it from that point or wait until it finished and it restarted. More modern systems are on-demand where you can start and stop them at any time.

Hi Darren, further to my post of 5th May, I have now booked with TC to Holguin for my trip to Santiago da Cuba in September. Surprisingly, despite telling me that there was only 1 seat left by this morning the price was cheaper than when I was looking at the beginning of May! Perhaps because there was only one seat left and most people are buying 2? Who knows? Either way I am pleased with the price I've paid and because I know there are other people who are going to Santiago too and are booked on the same flight, we'll be able to share the transfer costs. So result all round because overall it is working out much cheaper than having to fly into Havana and thanks for the earlier advice. :tup

Hi,]]I was wondering if you can help me with selecting a seat for next years holiday, We are travelling on a 757 - 300 and would like a decent window seat as its our sons first holiday and its day flights. Which rows offer the best window?

sxem,

Welcome onboard :tup
There are no 'best' seats, it's very much personal preference. If you're wanting a view out of the window without the wing in view, one towards the front or rear of the aircraft will be fine. The ones in the centre will have the wing obscuring views.

For those interested, Thomas Cook are in final discussions to lease an Airbus A330-200 from Air Tanker's (Travelmode article) to cover their expanding long haul schedule. Air to air refullelling over the Atlantic on the way to Antigua perhaps? Watching a couple of Typhoons out of the window would beat seat back IFE any day! My camera is at the ready :tongue

Hi,
Can anyone advise what route G-CHTZ is operating today? We are scheduled to fly on this plane tomorrow so would like to track its progress today.
Many thanks,

I think it's on MAN-DLM today, but I'm sure Darren will let you know definitely.

Also, is there any information on what we need to do with this added security xx

dramaqueen,

Nothing as far as I'm aware. I asked the same question when I picked my mum up yesterday having travelled to/from New York over the last week, and there's no changes that she was aware of. The only change I've heard of, although it's not really anything new, is no electronic devices that are uncharged will be allowed but I'm not sure how rigorously this is being enforced or if it's just random checks. You might be asked to switch on devices to show they are genuine items and not dummy boxes as a response to the latest threat information. I've been asked to do this on the odd occasion before so it's not really new. IFE information is linked from our What Aircraft? guide.

Flying 20 July from Manchester to Las Vegas (TCX124 if I remember correctly). Any idea where that will fly in from so I can monitor it next week?

Also, I have in flight meals included - does anyone know when these will be served (out and in bound). I have seen that the queues for security are massive and have heard of people being stuck in them for over an hour. Even with checking in 3 hours before I am not banking on being able to eat at the airport so I want to plan what snacks to bring. Leaving home in the early hours to get to MAN in plenty of time as have to use the M6!

Welcome onboard :tup
Your aircraft normally comes in from Punta Cana (TCX386/7). Meals are normally served approximately 2 hours after take-off and 90 minutes before landing. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).
