I am in the process of booking a holiday with Thomas Cook. On their website they have given me the date and times of the flight but no flight number or type. Is there anyway based upon this limited information you can help me out with a) airline & b) type?
Many thanks in advance,
Adam

Most, if not all are TCX Boeing 757-200's. We don't mind digging out flight informatin for specific flights you are on, but haven't got the time to trawl through a list, considering you won't be flying on some of them.
Darren
Any idea what type of aircraft they might be using.
18 Dec Man/Alc TCX750K departure
25 Dec Alc/Man TCX 567L return
Thanks in advance
MAN-ALC-MAN (TCX750K/567L) are showing as a Boeing 757-200 here. There's no suggestion that any flight operates anything other than non-stop that I can see at the moment. Where has the rumour come from? Even if it does originate at GLA, it shouldn't effect your plans unless the flight times change and you should be notified of that.

Someone said that Luci flight had been affected and that it was going via Man on Christmas day.I was worried because forcast is for more snow and Glasgow airport has been shutting when the snow is bad.
I appreciate your point. I shall find out the flight number from the travel agent before posting again,
Thank you for what you have already done,
Adam

Anys idea if this is true. Is the flight on the 18th Dec the same or will the aircraft be stood at manchester overnight ready for the early morning departure.

Thanks Darren for your time and putting up with me fusssing
This is correct, it is not a rumour. The TCX flight which was due to depart GLA at 0600 on 25 December is now departing at 0700 and going to ALC via MAN arriving at ALC at 1235. The return flight is unchanged.
If there was any change to your flight details TC would have advised you by letter.

Hi Luci are you on that flight. I hope the snow dosen`t stop it departing. If you are I will wave to you at the airport.

I am going to Goa in January, we have just received our tickets and now know we will be flying on an A330.
I was wondering if someone could tell me if the seat back T.V screens have hand-sets or are they "touch" scren?.
Reason for asking is that last January we went to Mexico with Thonson and had to endure 10 hours of our head rests being pushed forwards
as the couple behind played games on their T.V's, despite several requests for them to touch their screens and not push them!!!.
We are flying in Premier Class, if that makes any difference?.
Regards,
Popsider.
Welcome onboard

You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). The seat back screens are touchscreen as chances are, it'll be a former My Travel A332 (with the external flight cameras).

I think that TCX95K to Goa on December 26th is the plane that will have hopefully just returned from a Manchester to Puerto Plata trip (and maybe it is off on a Manchester to Montego Bay & back again trip today?) but is it too early to ask which specific plane it is: i.e. - Thomas Cook plane (seat back TVs etc) or is it an ex-My Travel plane (downstairs toilets & external cameras etc)?
I would be grateful for any accurate information. Reason for asking: nosey & just like to know these things!
Thanks
H.
It's too early to know the specific registration as they swap and change them all the time. I'll know the day before but the forums will be closed for christmas so I'll not be able to post it for you. There are currently 3x A332's in service, all are ex-MYT so that's what you'll be on. G-TCXA is normally in the UK, but that's been operating with TCX Scandanavia as well recently. The original TCX aircraft (G-OJMB/C) are in use by TCX Scandanavia at the moment.
Have a great holida and christmas

Darren

We fly out on the 2nd of January from Manchester on Flight No: TCX95K returning 2 weeks later on TCX95L.
Might try to get on the back row of Premier Class if poss, to avoid having a T.V at the back of my headrest.
Thanks again for your help.

MB and XA are back flying in UK

Darren/Mike Bravo,
Thanks for the information - hopefully it will be G-TCXA if I am correct in thinking that it is the 'newest' plane of the TCX longhaul fleet?

However, seating is absolutely atrocious ... Never been so badly seated in a plane ever ... I was in Premium though so can't comment on Economy but it was really bad ...
Thanks for the info, as far as seating goes, exit row seats are the way forward.
Other than that safety, on time & no screaming kids are the priorities for us.
Regards
H.
