Hi
Could you tell me if my flight on Friday NCL-MAN-CUN TOM392, will be operated by ex. FCA a/c or TOM a/c? as last week there was a quite lengthy delay and the outbound was opd by a TOM a/c and have just read something regarding the FCA 763's going in for heavy maintenance and some of the TOM 763 are covering the shortfall as a result.
I realize it makes little to no difference in essence as the majority of the a/c are the same that's not the reason why Id like to know if poss, its merely from an aviation enthusiast point of view, also I know it ops the NCL-SFB-NCL tommorow prior to ours so if possible can you possibly tell me which registration a/c will be operating our CUN flight as it ops from SFB back to NCL to do the CUN?
Thanks, greatly appreciated.
jays25,
The aircraft changes to ex-Tfly aircraft are managed and bookings taken accordingly- i.e. only 31 premium seats sold and 252 economy seats sold vs 63premium/195 economy seats, people will not be downgraded unwillingly due to the planned maintenance. It is only when things go T*ts up that Thomson Airways has to reluctantly upset customers.
I will be downgraded as there were only 9 premiun seats left available when the aircraft was scheduled as ex-fca.
Never mind
Am flying out on 01/12/11 Birmingham to Cancun TOM264 can you advise whether this will be ex First Choice or Thomson?
Many thanks
Welcome onboard

I won't know until the 2nd week of November (if you want to remind me), but I suspect it'll be an ex-TOM.
Darren
Many thanks for your quick response darren
Many thanks for the confirmation !! Is TOM031 coming back from MBJ ?

I've called Thomson Airways yesterday to choose my seats and I had someone within minutes sorting my outbound seats for me.
I have to call again in 2 weeks for the inbound but I was well impressed.
It was all done very quickly and efficiently. Got 3A and 3B.

The operational data i've been given is fresh this week, coupled with the announcement last week that the ex-FC aircraft are going in for major maintanence - including refreshing/updating the interior (configuration to stay the same)
I can only presume that the ex-Tfly 767's are covering for the FC aircraft whilst this is being carried out. Your outbound will be an ex-Thomsonfly 767 in long haul configuration(283 seats) and your inbound an ex-FC 767.
The outbound flight is only operated by a Tfly 767 the 6th-27th November 2011, it then reverts to normal a ex-FC 767.
BY-TOM-AMM-FCA,
Just a query. I am returning on TOM067 on the 6th Nov, arriving LGW on 7th Nov. I was under the impression that this one will be an ex TOM aircraft as when I went to reserve my seats I was informed by Thomson that there are only 5 rows of premium seating! Obviously it is not possible that both this and TOM022 on 6th Nov can be an ex TOM plane as I understand there is only 1 ex TOM (G-OBYD) in long haul configuration.
nicochick,
We are due to fly from Manchester to Tenerife on 28th of November on TOM2116/7. The thomson my booking website is sayin that this will be a 737-300 with no IFE do you know if this is correct.
Thanks,
Chris.
We are flying on 29th Oct Gatwick to Montego Bay on Flight No: TOM024 and returning on 8th Nov on TOM031.
We have premier seats booked.
Could you please tell me what aircraft these flights will use and where they will be coming from?
We have flown many times on FC planes but never in the premier cabin on the Thomson planes.
Thanks
Peter
It's more likely to be a Boeing 737-800 but no aircraft will have IFE on short haul from November. It's being stopped at the end of this month.
Darren
LGW-MBJ-LGW (TOM024/31) are showing as an ex-FCA Boeing 767-300/ER, subject to changes for maintenance (see BY-TOM-AMM-FCA post above). The premium cabins are pretty much the same apart from number of seats, tray table position, 1" difference in seat pitch and mood lighting. The aircraft operating TOM024 operates TOM050/1 (Sanford) beforehand.
Darren
From my pretty poor memory when I booked the seats (on row 5) the ones behind 5 may have have been blanked out, so maintenance may be on the cards.
Peter
Possibly. In that case, the premium cabin will only be 5 rows / 31 seats with 37" seat pitch, no mood lighting and usual tray tables. Other than that, service etc is the same.
Darren
I thought it would probably be a 737-800 too. Looks like I will have to make my own entertainment.
Thanks again
Chris.
Flying to FUE from EDI this Saturday on TOM1618. Having checked departures for several weeks prior, I've been unable to see this flight so I'm beginning to wonder if it is a one-off flight to cover for mid term school holidays in Scotland.
If possible, could you tell me where the flight will be inbound from or could it be re-positioning from a UK airport?
Thanks in advance
