Thanks BEfree. Glad to know it wasn't just my pc or the wrong address
The seat booking website came back for a short time a few minutes ago – then froze and died again.
So it’s dead – I’ll try tomorrow.
However the bit of Thomsons computers which IS working, and working far too well in my opinion, is that annoying piece of software which sends you emails telling you that you are going on holiday in the next few weeks. I KNOW I’m going, I don’t need reminding.
I’ve had exactly the same Email from the damn computer now EVERY DAY for the last week.
I wish I could stop it somehow, but I’m not going to pay 10 pence a minute holding on a phone line to try to talk to someone.

There should be an unsubscribe link at the bottom. There is on mine anyway
I was having issues yesterday with Thomson website as was my son, both of us wanted to pay some balance off - seems to be better tonight though
topofthetower wrote:hi miss pink have already tried that it gives the seat pitch but its the width im a large lady was ok on thomas cook premium and they are small thanks for your help :cheers
Hi topofthetower I have looked through the website and googled and so far can find out the width? hopefully one of the experts on here will have the answer for you and post it - if I find it I will post it
Better than me put our booking ref in and it say "cannot find our booking" not bad when we payed for the holiday 4 weeks ago. Booking ref works on My Thomson!! So back to the normal way spend countless minutes on the phone.
Booking ref works on My Thomson
Hi qatarman,
Beware that the reference number which goes into MyThomson is NOT the same as what is needed for flight extras. Thomson booking codes are of the form- AAAA/BBBBBB/CCCCCCC
The AAAA/BBBBBB bit works for MyThomson.
The CCCCCCC bit is what is needed for flight extras.
Hi we only have one booking ref AAAA/BBBBB nothing else on our Invoice?? Got it done now and recived an email confirmation.
t hank you miss pink really appreciate your help
qatarman - the seven digit CCCCCCC code is usually the first number coughed out by Thomsons booking system when you book online. It's on the first document they create.
Then they follow up some time later with the AAAA/BBBBBB code, on the full confirmation.
If you pay Thomson on-line for the balance then the receipt they provide shows the full code as AAAA/BBBBBB/CCCCCCC.
Apparently the CCCCCCC bit is the really important bit when checking in for the flight.
I have no idea why they do it like this
- if there's a Thomson person reading this maybe they can explain it for us.
However - enjoy your trip anyhow - glad you got your seats booked in the end
- even if it did cost maybe 10 pence per minute!
cheers BillR

Miss Pink,
Seat widths are approximately 16.25 inches on short haul, 17 inches on long haul and 18 inches on long haul premium.

silkmascara,
Please quote all your flight details when requesting aircraft information. There are several flights from several airports. Where are you flying from and what are your flight numbers? It'll be a Boeing 737-800 or Boeing 757-200 depending on the specific flight. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Thomson airlines seat booking webpage is down yet AGAIN!

Big companies seem to be having huge problems keeping their computers alive these days.

We want to go to Punta Cana in March/April next year. What will the plane be? Is it worth upgrading to Premium? We are a party of 9 with 5 adults and 4 children (from 4 to 9). We have been several times before with First Choice and recall that the Entertainment System is "programmable" in Economy even though the blurb advertises this as a Premium perk. Any views would be appreciated.
UKbill by computer it is FREE but on the phone Thomsons get a slice of the pie!!!!
RobinWhalley,
Welcome onboard
You'll find extensive aircraft information on this topic and on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). You don't say where you are flying from or your flight numbers, but most are operated by former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. IFE in economy can be upgraded to that of the premium cabin for £5 per seat. The upgrade to premium is personal preference.

We are flying on TOM 144 from MAN to CUN this Saturday. Is it too early to be able to project the registration of the plane that we are likely to be on?
Many thanks.
Many thanks.
qatarman,
You can book your seats by phoning 02476 283046 or 02476 282228 as opposed to using their 0871 number.
Regards,
Pat

Question for Darren please:-
Flying Manchester to Antalya in September on TOM512.
It seems the last couple of trips on this route were made by G-OBYG – which I think is a long haul configured Thomsonfly 767 – in fact the one in the new paint job!
Does this suggest that Thomson are using a longhaul plane on this route all summer – will I be lucky?
Or is it likely just a short term thing while planes are in maintenance?
