Thanks Darren, will make sure rep is advised. In the past we have been kept waiting on the bus due to this, thus the reason for Private Transfer.
Cheers again

Hi having a panic moment. We are flying to Turkey on a 757-200 and have booked seats in row 40. I am now worrying that they may be narrower than seats towards the front of the plane as the pictures of the exterior of the planes look as if they are narrower towards the back. this may sound silly but I am worried!
ninelives.
Thank you. Panic over now! We usually sit towards the front but had to change this time as we are not having meals.

It would be handy to know what Terminal Thomson Airways flys into. It looks like Termimal 3 could any one confirm this, or advise otherwise?
I used a company called AGI for my trip to Mexico last November, as long as your transfer company know which flight you are on, they will know where to meet you.
1) Does anyone know how long in advance you can use TOM's select-your-seat facility? I know it's available to me as a freebie for my chosen holiday flights (TOM 5304/5, STN-PFO-STN - scheduled to be a wingleted 737-800), but I don't actually go until April 27th and thus far haven't been able to log onto it.
2) Re: airport lounges... again, I have lounge access as a freebie on my package - does anyone know which of the Stansted lounges Thomson Airways passengers are able to use?
Thanks in advance,
GK

You should be able to book seats by now. They are bookable 90 days prior to your inbound flight. If you ring the airline they will do it for you.
You can select seats from 2 months prior to your departure date online officially (you'll get an email on the date), 3 months over the phone. Details here. However, it's worth checking before then as the flight is often loaded on to the system before the date and available. Just log in with your booking details. I can't comment on Stansted as I don't fly through their. I should imagine it'll be the Servisair though.

Darren Dont know if you are online or not. Was due to fly from Gatwick to Cancun on TOM 022 today at 0915. Luckily put my pc on before we left and found out it was delayed until 1810! No message from Thomson even though they have my email and mobile number! Have phoned them and been told now delayed until 1900 because of an aircraft issue! Dont suppose theres any way of finding out what happened? Also although Gatwick had it on their departure board as delayed earlier it has now been removed altogether. Am a bit worried as i was told by Thomson that it would be ok to check in at 4pm today but check in was open as normal this morning. Luckily we dont live that far from Gatwick. Just praying that there wont be any problems checking in later. I paid for reserved seating but i suppose that will not count for anything now if the aircraft has changed. Any info would be much appreciated.

Could be i suppose - would have been nice to get more info from Thomson! Thanks for the info.
There was a technical problem with an aircraft that has created a backlog in the schedule. It's a knock-on delay from a previous flight. Check-in will have been open as usual for passengers unaware of a delay. Unless notified by the airline, you should always check-in at the designated time as the airline may be able to juggle things and bring an aircraft / crew at short notice, or not in your case. If you've been told of the new departure and check-in time by Thomson, that's the time to go.
It's not really practical for an airline to phone or email every passenger as people are coming from all over the place and there's no guarantee you can get hold of people, plus situations and normally fluid and can change meaning you have to repeat the exercise. It's normal practice to get everyone to the airport as normal and either provide meal vouchers or a hotel so everyone is in the same place so any announcements or changes are easier to deal with.

Darren, understand the logic - but why did the Cancun flight vanish off of the departures board altogether?Shouldn't it stay up showing delayed departure? Also can't see the delayed Barbados flight having departed from Grantley Adams or arrived at Gatwick?

You'll have to ask Gatwick that. When flights get new departure slots, the original flight is sometimes cancelled and rescheduled and hence, removed from the flight information board. I've never found the flight information on LGW's website particularly user friend to be honest.
Darren
Darren,is there a better site for tracking arrivals to Gatwick then?? I've got a vested interest as my SIL is flying back from Barbados next Friday evening and we are supposed to be going over to them on Saturday afternoon.
As long as the flight is ontime, I've found LGW's website to be ok and the first port of call. It's when flights are delayed, cancelled or rescheduled that they don't seem to show the information. FlightStats is about the best for checking on when it departed so you know if it's due in late or not.
Darren
Thanks Darren
See TOM022 to Cancun is finally away - 10 hour delay ! Going to be a very long day for those lucky? passengers
