jmac,

MAN-FUE-MAN (TOM2300/1) should be operated by Boeing 757-200, possibly Boeing 737-800. I'll know from May. It's normally an Airbus A321-200 but the remaining aircraft is leaving the fleet this month.

Hi Darren

Do you know if these have been reconfigured back to 33"leg room.

Due to fly on 787 but I don't think it's going to and would hate to have to deal with the short haul legroom.

Thanks

z.j.c,

They should be but in order to cover the number of passengers expected on the 787-8 on any flights they cover, there's going to have to be a shuffle in seat numbers so things may have to change.

Thanks for reply Darren.

It was 31 seats that she said.

Ah well!

I'm currently looking at seats AB in row 6, 10 or 32 - what do you think?!

Row 6 looks like slightly more legroom??

Rows 10 and 32 don't have seats right behind so won't feel bad about reclining (I stress about annoying people behind!), although they are near toilets.

Also, if I do end up going premium, is it just not as good on an ex-TOM compared to ex-FCA (which I did last year).

Thanks.

cagzy,

Seating is personal preference, it's whatever you prefer really. Row 6 is behind the curtain seperating the premium cabin from the main cabin. They have a couple of extra inches, but nothing major. The other rows are much of a muchness. Row 10 doesn't have a window. Premium seating is about the same standard between the two. There's 1" extra seat pitch on the ex-TOM over the ex-FCA. It's only the economy cabin with slightly narrower seats where there's a difference.

Thanks again Darren.

Great information as always - I wouldn't have known about row 10 not having a window.

Do you know how much narrower please and does the middle armrest lift?

Thanks.
Reply
cagzy,

Seats are only marginaly narrower, about 1 inch. It doesn't sound much, but is noticable. Arm rests lift although they don't on row 6 as the tray table and screen fold out from the arm rest with being the front row in economy. The seats are also like this on exit rows.

When you say exit rows, do you mean row 32?

cagzy,

Any of the exit (extra legroom) rows onboard the aircraft. There are seat plans linked from our What Aircraft? guide (link below) showing their position. It's the 283 seat aircraftyou need.

eli_uk,

Welcome onboard :tup
LGW-CUN-LGW (TOM030/1) should have been operated by the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. However, as these aircraft remain grounded and have yet to be delivered, it is unlikely your flights will be operated by the 787-8 and is more than likely going to be operated by Boeing 767-300/ER. As yet, Thomson haven't released what their intentions are so you'll just have to wait and see. You should be notified of the aircraft change. When you have access to seat selection, I would choose seats as normal as the correct seat plan for your flight should be uploaded.
