ravelglen,

Which departure airport? Are you flying to Puerto Plata or Punta Cana? Flight number? I'm assuming it's LGW-PUJ-LGW (TOM050/1)? This flight is operated by former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Can someone please clarify if you can select seats using an ipad? I'm asking because I did this last September while on holiday in NYC for a flight in November to LPA, but someone asked this on the Thomson Dreamliner blog & the answer from them was that you can't.

Unless something has changed since 6 months ago? I'm asking because I will be away again when I need to select seats & don't particularly want to take my laptop.

Thanks,

gaz68,

I've never tried selecting seats using an iPad, but I believe the software isn't supported. Why not give it a try and report back?

Well the thing is as I've said, is that it worked perfectly fine in September when I was away. Just wondering why someone on the Thomson Dreamliner blog said no.

I'm not going to the DR till November so maybe others can try it & see if it's still possible.

Thanks again,

Yes it's possible, it definately works I have used my iPad several times to select my seat numbers.

TUI, seem to have difficulty with apple products and getting their internal systems up to date, a lot of the functionality doesn't work for staff so that is why a blogger probably assumed there would be similar problems
The customer end... That isn't the case.

I have used my iPhone to do it so I guess it's the same software on both devices.

Welcome onboard :tup
MAN-CUN-MAN (TOM182/3) are operated by former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. Row 20 is the overwing exit row and are the roomiest seats on the aircraft. You'll have no problem with legroom on that row. The seats are slightly narrower due to the arm rest being fixed as the tray table / IFE screen fold out of them. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below) including aircraft and cabin photos (click on the aircraft type).
