Hello

Travelling on 27th July from Manchester to Larnaca with Thomson.

The flight is down as exFCA763 and I'm wondering if anyone knows if they let you use the seat back TVs on this route?

Thanks

z.j.c,

For the short period they're being used on short haul, I don't see why not as the system is installed and all the material uploaded although it's not standard on short haul flights to provide it, it may just be the flight maps.

Thanks Dazbo

Do you know where the decision came from to use the exFCA on short haul?

I remember you said it would be exTOM but seat plan is 2-3-2.

Thanks

z.j.c,

I'm not privy to that level of information. It's only for a short time frame as they leave the fleet soon (G-OOBM at the end of July). They are just being used in the interim in the busy summer period while the newly delivered 787-8's come online then they leave the fleet.

Wouldn't think they would use it as they would have to issue headphones??

Hi Darren, you seem to be the man in the know so thought I was register and ask :)
Me and the missus are flying out from Manchester to larnaca on 03/08/14 with Thomson on what I believe is a B767-300ER judging by the seating plan. The only window seat with one next to it was row 40, do you know if this has a window view? I am really hoping so, been a while since I have been able to get away and I have a slight obsession with planes since..forever! haha.

Thanks in advance for any reply

Row 40 should have a window, yes.

You sure mate? Found a few posts on google that say the ex first choice aircraft don't have windows on rows 9, 17 and 40. If your sure i'll take my choices and not ring and try and change. I also heard that they have reduced leg room and no seat recline, even though me and the missus are both 6ft I will put up with this to have a window! hah

kris86,

Unless you're on one of the odd flights that are operated by a long haul aircraft, you'll be on a high density short haul (2-4-2 rather than 2-3-2) where row 40 has a window. Are your flight numbers TOM2700/1? The flight is operated by Boeing 737-800 currently but changes to a 76W from 20th July.

yes mate, TOM2700 from Manchester to larnaca on 03/08/14. Seating plan shows 40 rows in the 2/3/2 formation.

kris86,

You're lucky then, getting a long haul aircraft on a short haul flight. In that case, the back row (40) doesn't have a window.

ahh gutted :( guess I will have to offer the people infront £40 for their seats or checkin online and on the day ask to see if there is any welfare window seats going spare on rows 15,16 or 17.

Hi, I'm going to Corfu on Friday 25th July (this coming Friday) with Thomson from Manchester at around 3 in the afternoon. The flight code has slipped my mind. When I enquired on here previously about the aircraft servicing this route I was told it would be a 757. However, when I checked in online last night, it allocated me seats from a 767 configuration.

Could anyone let me know if it has actually changed please?

Thanks, sparky123

sparky123,

There are two flights on a Friday. One is TOM2518/9 operated by Boeing 757-200, the other is TOM2572/3 operated by Boeing 767-300/ER. That's why it's important we have flight numbers when asked for aircraft details as there's often multiple flights.

Darren,

I'm flying with Thomson on 22nd July. Flight number: TOM0122.

Our Tickets and Seat bookings say we're on the Dreamliner (Seats 18D, 18E, 18F and 17C) but having looked at previous TOM0122 flights, the 767 has been operated.

We booked the tickets hoping for it to be the Dreamliner...

Any idea if this flight (If not, TOM0123 on 6th August) is going to be on the Dreamliner... And therefore the first for this flight?

I've been told by Thomson yes, but want to double check.

Thanks,
Matt.

That's correct, TOM122/3 (MAN-SFB-MAN) are operated by Boeing 767-300/ER up until 15th July 2014. Flights from 22nd July 2014 are operated by Boeing 787-8.

Have a good holiday :cheers :sun2
