Rotterdam,
If the seating plan is now showing 2-3-2, it's changed to an ex-FCA.
Darren
Up to last Friday it was ex TOM and the plan is/was to change to ex FCA this week, however this may not happen now because of several changes during the last 2 weeks to several aircraft, so the definitive answer is its just not possible to know until the actual day at the moment. But if it were a ex TOM then there would be 1 seat left free on every row because of the 2-3-2 to 2-4-2 change
Hi to you both,
Rotterdam
Al
Not quite sure what those letters mean, but if our plane is ex First Choice, I have read that they are slightly more comfortable than the ex Thomson planes with less people on them ?
Thanks again.

Me again,
Everything will make sense if you have a quick look through our What Aircraft? guide (link below) at the Thomson Airways section.

Regards to my earlier post I just didn't think B757 were capable of long haul flights and to carry the same numbers of passengers???
Boeing 757-200's are used on trans-atlantic flights on a daily basis. For example, American Airlines operate two per day from Chicago and New York in to Manchester, and Continental (United) Airlines two from Newark in to Manchester. Thomas Cook also operate them to Toronto in the summer in a 187 seat configuration. They were designed for trans-continental flights in America with hot and high capabilities to succeed the 727 and once ETOPS rated, have no problem carrying out long haul flights. Iron Maiden, Captained by lead singer Bruce Dickinson are using an Astraeus 752 on tour at the moment on a round the world trip! Before the Boeing 767's joined the fleet, Britannia (that became Thomsonfly / Thomson Airways) used them regularly to Orlando and the Caribbean with a technical stop in Bangor. They have a range of 4,500 miles in a low density configuration. With the heavier weights in the higher density configuration, the range is limited, hence the technical stop enroute but they are more than capable of operating the flights.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this or if I just can't find the answer anywhere else. I am trying to find out the prices of duty free cigarettes on Thomson longhaul planes. I am going to the Dominican in June and I would like to compare them to the airport prices. I have tried google and can't seem to find any prices.
Looking for "deals" on their 400 packs. I remember last year there was a great offer and just wanted to check this out.
Can anyone help me with this.
Thanks
Emily
I posted a price list here. It varies slightly depending on departure airport but it'll give you an idea. Alternatively, you'll find the online version of Thomsons inflight retail range here. I think the tobacco page is 37-38. In general, there's not a lot of difference in prices between the flight and airport. If anything, they're slightly cheaper on the flight.

Hi Dazbo can you tell me the plane for Manchester to Marsa Alam Egypt please.
What date? Or at least day of the week and summer or winter? I need something to work with! It's likely to be a Boeing 757-200 regardless.
Darren
Sorry, Thursday August 2011.
