i need help please am booked to go to club viva marmaris 16.8 for 1 week when i booked it the reviews were really good now they are diabolical(spelt wrong) people having money and passports pinched from room safe! food rubbish to staff being horrible
now how do i stand with changing my holiday at this short notice? i am willing to pay extra to have a good holiday
any ideas?????
I just read the last reviews on Trip Advisor http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g670690-d317229-r71755240-Club_Viva_Hotel-Armutalan_Mugla_Province_Turkish_Aegean_Coast.html#REVIEWS and they seem mixed. To be honest, I think I would still go to this hotel, but we are all different. I tend to disregard the very worst, and very best, and just go for something in the middle when reading reviews.
If you really dont want to go here, just call your travel agent and see how much it would cost to move to an a different hotel, it might just be an admin charge, but not too sure. No harm in phoning them anyway.
Hope you have a good holiday, whichever hotel you go to.

We booked at Club Ako apartments last year because the reviews on Tripadvisor were glowing, but we had a terrible experience, which made my husband suffer from a recurrent chronic illness brought on by stress for which he was hospitalised upon our return and is only now recovering, and caused me to suffer anxiety attacks for which I am presently taking medication.
Don't trust reviews. Mixed reviews are probably more honest than those which all say the same thing, as happened in our case, and just show that different people look for different things in a holiday. But if your gut feeling is to change hotels, then go for it, I just wish that I had read mixed reviews of the place we went to, at least then I could have had the option to change accommodation.
This year we are renting accommodation through 'Owners Direct' and have been in touch with the owner of our accommodation, a British man living over here, who has been really helpful and understanding.
In any case, best of luck.

I hope you all have a lovely holiday. We go on Monday for 12 days, I cant wait.
Well done you!!
Sometimes it is best to go with a gut instinct.
And as I said before reviews cannot really be trusted, certainly I wouldn't pay too much attention to them in future.
Enjoy.
