CANCELLATIONS OF HOLIDAY

Q. What happens if I have to cancel my holiday?

A. If you cancel your holiday the tour operator will impose certain charges known as "cancellation charges". These will be found at the back of the tour operator's brochure and they basically work on the principle that the later you cancel your holiday the bigger the financial penalty.

However if you have travel insurance and you have to cancel your holiday because of illness or certain statutory requirements, you may find that your travel insurance policy will cover you for this and the money that you have lost by way of cancellation charges to your insurance company will be reimbursed to you under your travel insurance policy. You should always check at the time of booking your holiday that the insurance policy that you propose to take covers for these eventualities.
