Just returned (Jun 05).

Room 608 Garden view, had Sea View.

Room Clean,Tidy and Maintained.

Restaurants Good ( Set Buffet in Main , Ala Carte in pool area )
Pool Great but alittle cold, remember the towels to mark your spot.

Little train around complex good for kids.

All Staff great.

If staying as B&B, I would suggest that you eat on the Ixia Strip for variety. Avoid Alexandros like the plague (you would probaly catch something)

Eat at Dimitrios ( Directly Oppposite Complex Shop ), Great atmosphere, people, food, prices. Kids Area. You can while away a good 3 hours eating or be in /out in under 30 mins upto you. (wife fancied waiter, small bottom)

Rhodes about 7 Euros from Ixia, Lindos 37 Euros , both by Taxi.

Hope you enjoy

Hello,

I went to Miramare Wonderland in October 2005 with my boyfriend and really really enjoyed our stay.

We saw quite a few pics of the resort before we went and couldn't believe it would be so stunning - we definately thought there may have been some camera touch ups!!! But no, the resort really is brilliant.

If you're afer a quiet & calm modern hotel with an amazing pool area- this is the one for you!!! It is a really stylish compex and the main entrance/foyer and restaurant is set amidst lagoons which look fabulous when lit up at night.

Pool area is superb. It has an infinity pool so whether you are in it or sunbathing, the pool looks as if it goes into the sea. One side of the resort goes staight up to ther sea which makes for wonderful views across most of the complex. Lots of v comfy sun loungers and decking around the pool and pool bar.

We had a beach suite - well worth paying a bit more for because not only can you hear the sea you can see it breaking against the shore from your bed!

Our room was really nice and quite big, plus had a a large balcony complete with table & chairs. We had a 4 poster bed with white muslin draped across it, table adn chairs, sofa and there was a small kitchen area and a full bathroom.

Wasn't many children there when we went but was end of season, but did notice a childrens pool and childrens area which all looked clean and in keeping with the rest of the complex.

There is an old fashioned train that runs around the resort at intervals taking you from one side of the hotel to another, through the gardens and alongside the sea - nice touch and not just for kids!!

There are 2 restuarants on site and a handful of bars (inc pool). Breakfast is served around the lagoon - lots & lots of variety from fruit, cheeses, cereal, ful english, american pancakes and more. We were very impressed with both the variety and the quality. We only ate in one of the restauants in the evening and the food was pretty good, but we preferred to wander into Ixia or Old Rhodes Town at night and eat there.

There is a supermarket on site and also a jewelry shop for those of you who can't bare to not be close to at least one shop!!

Location of hotel was ideal for us. Old Rhodes Town very pretty and only a short taxi drive and had lots of roof topped restaurants, shops, markets, churches. Ixia also had plenty of resturants and bars and a few supermarkets so if you wanted to stay local, you could.

Locals talk very highly of this resort - it is seen as a designer hotel because it is unique and we both really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would not hesitate to go back.

Hope this helps.
:P
