We stayed at the CITY HEART hotel in December 2009 the hotel is in a perfect location it is round the corner from the Golden Temple and across the street for the famous Jallianwala Bagh well .
The hotel picked us up our party of 10 people at the train station this only cost us something like 70 rupees each ..they also took us to the famous waga Border again at a small fee they were very reliable were on time to take us and waited to take us back to the hotel and the train station ..
The rooms at the hotel are very nice they have a flat screen Tv and tea and coffee making in your room.the bathroom was a little dated but clean it had a basket of all your soaps gels and needs .
There are lots of shops by the hotel and many restaurants and nice places to eat .Pitza hut was just across the street from the hotel
The food at the hotel is very good well presented and much the same price as you would pay in Goa the restaurant has a huge window where you can sit and look out at all the people walking by outside who all love to look up and wave at you .
you can get a drink at the hotel you only have to ask
the only thing I would say about the hotel is they speak very little english and can get your food order mixed up at times ..
I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would go back again in fact we will go back again someday I want to see more of Amritsar
