Peacefull, unspoilt relaxing, Hotel Sciaron was all of these. Stunning Views from Terrace overlooking
Aeolian Islands Lovely Swimming pool. Food plentiful and typically Italian even lunch was a 3 course meal ! Staff very pleasant.
Free Mini bus to Free beach all day. Mini bus to Tropea for 8 Euros return. Well worth it.
Our only gripe was the meal times 8 -9 breakfast and 8-9 dinner. so up early and the evening cut in half.
Hire a car and travel down to Reggio Calabra, visit Scila (lovely bay with pretty coloured houses that look as though they are stuck on the side of the mountain. Go over to Sicily 24 euros with car. Travel acros to the Eastern coast only 1 1/2 hours away.
Walk to the Lighthouse Pizzeria/bar and have a drink on the terrace and watch the fabulous sunset over Stromboli.

The hotel is well positioned above the village of Capo Vaticano. It is quiet and definitely for those who want a relaxing break.
An extensive terrace, including swimming pool, provides excellent views across the sea to Sicily and the Aeolian islands. Rooms are very clean with fridge, safe and air conditioning (may be a charge) and for a few extra Euros a recommendation would be to invest in a balcony room with a sea view.
Meals were of a good quality with the evening 'starters' buffet outstanding in content and quality. Vegetarians would love it.
A free bus is provided to the beach and for 8 Euros the hotel offers a bus to Tropea.
