High-quality accommodation that we suggest to our friends. The apartment was nicely rebuilt, it is situated in an ancient olive mill (quite a good job), it is very pleasant and well equipped, very clean; the friendly owners welcomed us with great kindness.
The property is situated either near to the Riviera Ligure and to Cinque Terre, and it is also near to Pisa and Lucca: could anybody ask for more?
We spent a week in this very pleasant, quiet, comfortable and nicely rebuilt apartment, with the huge olive mills in the living room (there used to be an old olive mill). Enrico's parents welcoming was truly warm, with a bottle of red wine and local specialties.
The terrace in the garden invites to the rest (a quiet stream flows nearby). The main tourist attractions (Cinque Terre, Carrara, Lerici, Portovenere) are easily to be reached by car.
We'll be coming back for sure. The young hosts are so kind as their home is comfortable, welcoming and zen.
Casale Amati is a very particular place that Federica and Enrico rebuilt into a small jewel: situated in a valley, near the beautifully coloured hamlets that are perched on the typical hills of Liguria, in a more than 100-years-old-building, this old olive mill kept many signs of its previous activity (including the olive press in one of the two flats), which give a touch of style to all the setting.
So, an ideal address where we (a family with two children and a grandma) spent a week in the beginning of August. A real outstanding dwelling, not far from Cinque Terre and from the sea. We spent the last wonderful two summers lodged in this house.
It has the advantage of the countryside, right next to the seaside (wide sandy beaches or small coves a little bit farther).
Among the addresses that we keep jealously, there is Casale Amati, with its helpful, friendly and charming .
This house is a MUST for the lovers of the ancient stone.
It hides its internal treasures behind the outside of a simple former olive mill: the furniture is good and the bedrooms are garnished with love.
In the evening it was wonderful to rest in the garden, watching the firefly passing by.
