I have stayed 4 times at the Dom Jose' in 21 months, the last three occasions alone, this is a quiet well run hotel, spotlessly clean, it's location could not be better overlooking the promenade, beach and sea.
My visits have been in April, October and December the prices are reasonable and I now get offered frequent visitor rates and upgrades from time to time.
My marking gives 5 for both cleanliness and location - food gets a 3 I found it basic edible but basic - service got a 4, you would hardly find a hotel anywhere deserving of a 5 - Entertainment got a 1 it is practically non-existent - I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a quiet holiday in a nice clean hotel, the budget airlines could make a weekend break possible, you are not restricted on the number of nights you book, not far 1.6k from Vilamoura.
Travelling alone I feel safe in this hotel - My Rating 4.5.
