Located just over the borders in Scotland in the village of Coldingham, this guest house is run by a lovely Geordie couple Paul and Dawn O Callaghan...and not forgetting the 2 Rotty's, Tuesday and Wednesday!! I think they have had it for about 5 or 6 years now and did it up quite alot.
It has I think 5 rooms and is a popular haunt for Divers who are visiting St Abbs, about 2 miles down the road.
There are 2 double rooms, a couple of twins and a family room. The gardens are landscaped and there is a Games Room in a purpose built hut outside in the gardens and also a Drying room ( well handy for the Divers).
Paul also has his own dive boat running from St Abbs called Lazy G Diver..always handy so you could sort your dives and accomodation at the same time.
The double rooms are a little small, but they are well furnished and spotlessly clean and are also en suite. We tend to stay in Room 2, which is the smallest of the lot, but we dont mind.
They do have guests from all over the world that come back so they must be doing something right.(and not just divers!)
Catering is on a B & B basis, all the usual stuff and Dawn cooks a mean breakfast and you can have haggis with it too! All the rooms have a booklet in showing you where you can get food elsewhere in the area..pubs, restaurants, chippy's etc and also activities that people might like to try.
We have always had a pleasant stay there and if we can get in, we always stay there when we are up in St Abbs diving.
