Had always favoured quality chain hotels - but that's not really the way in South Africa other than the cities. Our hotel had 10 rooms - and the staff were great, really friendly and very helpful - there's free access to a pc and internet - so we were able to print off tickets etc, and they arranged a wine trip for the next day at 7pm, and car hire for the same day.
The room was very comfortable and immaculate with stunning views from the verandah over Signal Hill, the Bay, and along to the Twelve Apostles - and, oh yes, we had our own hot tub! The breakfast on offer was great - you could have whatever you wanted - and it was served on the terrace overlooking the sea.
They have a "sister" cafe a short distance away - and they ordered take away for us - and plated it up on arrival. Would have no doubt in recommending the hotel - and we hope to return later in the year.
