We stayed at the Cap De Mar for 10 days on a B & B basis.
Firstly I will say this is NOT a 4 star Hotel. It is probably a very nice 3 Star if I am being generous.

We booked a side sea view room and just got a glimspe of the sea in between the two buildings in front of us. Not what I expected. Some rooms (they are called suites by the way!) have sea view rooms. The Hotel is second line to the beach. The road at the back (or entrance to the Hotel) can be very noisy.

The hotel is spotlessly clean and has maid service everyday. The maids are very friendly and polite.

The food was pretty good, the usual breakfast buffet fayre. Bacon, eggs and omelettes were cooked to order by the Chef and there was a reasonable choice. You did feel rushed by the restaurant staff if you were still eating when it got near to 10am and breakfast service was finishing.

I general, the staff were all friendly enough. The entertainment was mediocre.

The pool is quite small and very cold :o) Sun loungers were not saved and you could always grab one at anytime of the day.

The Spa is never open and there are no indoor facilities as advertised!

The rooms are comfortable and quite spacious.
The smallish bedroom had two rock hard single beds, a large double wardrobe with a safe and lots of storage space. The living room had extra storage, a fridge, kettle, cups and glasses. There was a T.V. with mainly German channels and corner seating. The bathroom has an overbath shower, an ancient hairdryer and a shaving mirror. All were spotlessly clean, but not 4 star quality.

There was nothing of what was promised in the brochure. No indoor swimming pool, no sauna, no health centre, no fitness room, no grill room, no pizzeria, no beach to go to (covered with 1 meter high dead smelling sea plants), no tennis court.

No entertainment for the kids, Every night the same entertainment program.

The floor of the swimming pool outside was painted on the day of our arrival and was very slippery. Everyone fell on the stone floor. Warned owner, but no result.

Certainly NOT a 4 star accommodation.

Thomas Cook finds the NO's reasonable for a holiday in May.

We went to this place last August and booked with Eurodirect, and all I will say I would book somewhere else.

This place is full of Germans who do not make any effort to talk to you, they look at you if you where from another planet.

The food is just catered for Germans only, and the entertainment is not worth talking about, and the pool is awful.

We only met one English couple there in the 2 weeks we where there, and that was in the the last couple of days, and they where in the same opinion as us.

The company said that the hotel is near the beach, which it is, but it is full of rock and was a bit unpleasent. We use to walk down to Cala Millor beach which is about 15 min walk, but we worth it because the beach is fabulous.

The only good thing I would say is the apartments are good size and clean.

Sorry for the bad reviews but the Cap de Mar is awful.
