When we booked this hotel independently we knew exactly what to expect having gleaned virtually every piece of info available on the www. The clientele were nearly all German with the token Swiss, Scandanavian, Spanish and British guests. All the literature was German with the entertainment aimed solely at them. If you expect anything different, don't stay at the Girasol.
We didn't mind any of the above as the hotel was exactly what we wanted. The staff were very helpful, the rooms were nice and clean and the location was perfect for the beach, shops, restaurants etc. The breakfasts were excellent with an extensive choice, regardless of your taste. The twin beds were a little hard to the extreme but you'll sleep anywhere when you're tired! The pool area was OK and if you are down before 11am or after 4pm you are guaranteed a lounger. The Girasol carries a four star rating but personally, I'd say this is pushing the boundaries.
