What a superb hotel we knew where we were staying as we stayed in other complex last year so it was a real treat this year to know our accomadation and what a time we had. We did request pool view and were given an apartment that was away from pool went to reception and was very quick to amend their mistake and gave us a lovely apartment overlooking the small pool. The complex is very mixed countries which makes it more interesting for us and a pleasure to have a sunbed at anytime of the day. It is a very qiuet bay and not any club life which we keep away from. The evening entertainment is very good and the food also good. They do have childrens club with a mixed group of girls and boys giving the kids some fun and games, nice bunch they were. I will go again hoorah to La caleta Prinsotel well done

We've just returned from a lovely week at the Prinsotel; the whole resort was very clean and the spacious grounds were perfectly manicured.

The pool was large and there were always sunbeds available and lots of shade for our 2 year old. The apartments were spacious and cleaned daily.

We asked for a ground floor apartment, which we got, and both the living room and bedroom had double doors opening directly on to the lawn and very near to the pool, just perfect.

The resort was quiet and relaxing, there were lots of under 5's and some couples as well. There are a couple of play areas which our son loved. The restaurant is fresh and airy, with half of it all being glass with nice views of the countryside.

This is one of the best places we have been to, 3 star prices for a top resort.

The family have been to this hotel for the last 2 years, it is excellent. We have made many great friends and I would highly recomended this hotel to anyone.

The only disappointment is that now you must book direct and arrange flights etc on line. Which is to my huge disappointment not as straight forward as it should be.

Unless they do have an operator it looks like we will have to make alternative arrangements which is a shame as the complex is fantastic.

Help please!

My wife and I have just returned from 2 weeks at this hotel - how it only has 3 stars is beyond me!. Spotlessly clean, large pool, superb food.

Never had any trouble getting a sunbed around the pool, the only people I saw reserving sunbeds early in the morning were Brits!!

Entertainment in the evenings ranged from amateurish to very good, but general opinion was that kids entertainment started too late (21:00) and there was no "watershed" after which the adults were catered for. Consequently the professional acts (about 3 times a week) had to put up with a mass of little darlings constantly running across the front of the stage.

Bar prices were reasonable (2.50 Euros for large beer)

Hired a car for 3 days. This is a must as hotel is a bit isolated, but that only adds to the peacefulness. Ciutadella costs 1.10 Euro on the bus, which stops right outside hotel complex. Book the hire car before you leave UK, it is much cheaper than booking when you arrive.

Santandria and Sa Caleta beaches a short stroll from the hotel. We preferred Santandria, once you get used to the smell of seaweed drying in the sun. We heard that hiring sunbeds and umbrellas on both beaches was expensive, suggest buying cheap Li-Los and umbrella in the little shop beside the pool at the hotel!!

In conclusion, great place for a quiet holiday, good beaches nearby, superb hotel.

My wife and I have just spent a very agreeable two weeks at the Prinsotel La Caleta. We found the whole complex spotless, the food and service excellent and the prices very reasonable. Overall the island is quiet and peaceful without too much commercialisation and we did not feel exploited anywhere. The evening entertainment at the hotel was varied with some less professional than others and all was quiet by midnight. The people we met were all friendly and helpful and we would happily recommend Menorca and this hotel to couples or families with young children looking for a relaxing break.
