Lovely beach near Tramontana( not the pebbly one beside it). Fab clear water good for snorkelling, bathing etc.Very quiet here. The village of Fornells very attractive too, lovely fish served in the restaurants but a little expensive in some places. We hired a small motor boat...fab way to see the coast and sample the gorgeous quiet coves. Fornell is orientated towards grown ups and is the place to go for water sports.Hire a car to see further around this lovely island.As a family we visit here for a day but stay elsewhere.
Apparently the resport for the rich and famous, I am neither but would always visit again.
There is a story that the King of Spain visits once a year to eat the local speciality, Lobster stew. And get this, if you are eating in the same restaurant as he does, the King actually pays for your meal too. Cool or what?
The resort features a Thai restaurant, a night club and for those self caterers there are the obligatory supermercados. The one at the top of the hill by the ATM machine and car hire was the most competitive.
The Bar Okapi features a two hour happy hour on cocktails.
All good fun and begging you to return A.S.A.P.

I have visited menorca many times but this was my first visit to this particualar area. I was pleasantly surprised with the beach, small but clean. the water was shallow and safe. life guards were visible.
