The Hotel is fantastic. It is always spotlessly clean and the staff are always cleaning the paths and roads etc.The hotel is in a quiet location but is only 10-15 minute walk from the main night life and the hotel also provide free transport every night into the town at 7,8,9,o clock and there are numerous tuk tuk and taxis back for 100 baht providing you haggle with them ( this is expected and great fun.We have never stayed at such a fantastic place and would definitely go back. The staff cannot do enough for you and you are made to feel so welcome

We stayed in the deluxe room, which although very lovely, felt a little claustrophobic due to the dark colouring. The balcony is tiny, with just enough room for two people to sit down uncomfortably. My advice would be to upgrade to the larger room if you can. Not all rooms have a good sea view - note you must ensure you request sea view at time of booking. We didn't but were moved to a better view room the next day. From previous comments, it would seem the breakfast menu has improved and you can book this to be delivered to your room. However, there is no further room service with regards to food. As other people have written, the hotel is on a mountain and therefore has steep inclines, however, there are lots of steps. Our room was close to reception, so we found the only really strenuous bit was from the beach to the room. There is a vehicle which runs continuously round the hotel, but this stops at midnight, so, if you're in one of the rooms at the top of the complex, we suggest getting sloshed before tackling the trek up. Walking to Soi Bangla took us about 30 minutes. From the hotel to the start of the beach road is a bit tricky as there is not a complete path and you end up walking in the busy road. The hotel does have a minibus which takes you to the top of Soi Bangla. However, what previous reports failed to mention is that you have to book this in advance, and they only run on the hour between 6pm and 9pm. If you're not a routine type person, and you don't want to walk, you can get a tuk tuk at the entrance to the hotel for 200 baht. This is the new charging system, and anywhere in patong is now 200. One of things that wasn't clear on the hotel website is parking availability - which they do have.
Ladies, note - The hotel doesn't have a hairdresser or manicurist - you have to go into Patong for this.
On arrival we were given various coupons for free fruit, a free buffet and drinks and discount vouchers for various restaurants, and told we could get more if we ran out.
In our view there are two really great things about this hotel which more than made up for any gripes we may have had. The first is the lack of kids - sitting around the pools or in the restaurants was extremely peaceful. The second was the staff - I'd read reports that they were friendly, but I had my doubts, having stayed in various hotels in this area. I really can't tell you how nice they all are. You are greeted by all members of staff with a smile and a hello. If you have a problem, we found it was sorted immediately. We would definitely return to this hotel.

We stayed at the Diamond Cliff resort for my husbands 30th and our honeymoon. One: They sent the cake to our room, left it in the sun while we were sleeping at 7am without knocking on the door. Two: It was pink! My husband wasn

Quiet hotel in North Patong. Depending on how fast you walk you can reach Bangla Road in about 20 minutes. In the evening there is a hotel minibus which can be booked to take you there, but it does not bring you back.

We stayed in a Diamond Room, which was very large with both a bath and separate shower and dressing area, robes and slippers are provided as are flip-flops, bottles of water and chocolates each evening.

Pool areas are good in general, but the pool by the sea is very noisy as a busy road is just behind it. All the pools had various types of floating aide provided by the hotel.

My only complaint about this hotel was the breakfast restaurant. I have been to Thailand many times and can honestly say this was the worst breakfast I have ever had in a hotel there. Although there was lots of choice there was more for eastern customers than westerners, lots of chilli, dim sum, rice, chinese, japanese, korean food, but what cooked western food there was was limited to eggs, bacon, beans, sausages, and - mashed potato, and even then the eggs were not cooked to order, but kept warm until they resembled rubber. Many items were not filled up quickly enough so quite often you would go for something to find there was none left. If there had been a place nearby to eat I would have not eaten in this restaurant. There is an Italian restaurant (don't have a pizza) and several other restaurants which we did not visit, except for the beach restaurant, which was OK for lunch, but only served fish at night.

The hotel is situated on the outskirts of Patong, but it is only a fifteen minute walk along the beach to Bangla Rd the "centre" of the town. Also the hotel provides a car which will drop you in to town and pick you up, take you to Phuket town across the island if you want as long as you book in advance, and the service is free. Tuk Tuks (local open air taxis)are also easily available, just make sure to establish a price before getting in to a taxi.

The Diamond Cliff is on a hillside so climbs up quite steeply fom the sea to the villas at the very top, luckily the hotel provides chauffeur driven carts to take you to your room or the pool if you are lazy or tired. The hotel itself is beautiful, with fantastic sea views and a very open air feel to it. The reception is open air. Each room opens to outside rather than a hotel corridor, and the one restaurant we ate in opens on to one of the swimming pools. There are three pools; one with a waterfall and pool bar, one by the restaurant and one actually down by the sea. Towels are available at the pool so you don't need to bring yours down with you.

There are loads of activities available to do, everything from Thai Massage classes to cocktail making but nothing is pushed at you.

The staff at the hotel couldn't have been friendlier (as were all Thai people, we thought). Everyone was greeted with cocktails and flower necklaces on arrival and as it was our honeymoon we were given a cake in our bedroom and rose petals were on our bed!

The rooms were a reasonable size, all with air conditioning, balcony and en suite. They were also beautifully furnished. The rooms were cleaned everyday, including clean towels, bathrobes, bathroom products, and two complimentary bottles of water every day!

The only negative comment i would make would be about the hotel restaurents. They are extremely overpriced - in comparison to what is available in Patong itself, and they also lack any atmosphere partly because they are completely empty every night.

I have no idea how this hotel was affected by the Tsunami, I think, because of its location on the hill any damage was probably minimal - fingers crossed!

This hotel is in the form of a number of buildings set in a valley running down to the north end of Patong Beach.
A very busy road is across the entrance and the traffic flows day and night but cannot be heard from inside the complex. Crossing the road can be hairy, but there is a security gauard who gives help if required. (or even if not required)

We had superior accomodation and this was excellent with a hugh double kingsized bed and the room was comfortably furnished in teak. There was a balcony with a view of the gardens and the sea.
The room was cleaned daily to a very good standard with fresh linen and towels and bathrobes.
There were very good tea and coffee making supplies which were kept fully replenished.

There are three swimming pools which were clean and well maintained and also a health spa and medical centre with a nurse in attendance and doctor available if required.

The hotel provides towels for the swimming pool and you are permitted to take them to the beach.

The dining facilities were good a main restaraunt and also a beach restarant and the food very palatable if a little expensive. We found it best to dine mostly in the town where competition keeps the prices down. (Full English breakfast with coffee and bread and butter at 250 Baht for 2 which was about
