The Nena Hotel is one of Istanbuls Boutique Hotels and is full of charm. It's situated along a side street in the heart of Sultanahamet. You are literally 10 minutes walk away from the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia and Hippodrome.
I booked the hotel online via their online booking system which couldn't be simpler. You are given a reference number unique to your booking so you can log in and change or update your booking. The hotel supplied a free return taxi transfer from Attaturk Airport which took 20 minutes.
We had a double room which was very comfortable with twin beds, however there are lots of options available. If you want a view of the Blue Mosque then you need to book a superior room. The hotel also has an elevator.
Breakfast is served on the top floor with a spectacular rooftop view of Sultanahamet to include the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, a real treat to see whilst having breakfast. Breakfast is continental or Turkish whichever you prefer.
The staff were fantastic. Very knowledgeable and willing to help with directions and advice on your visit.
Above all the hotel was modern in a good condition, comfortable and good situation surrounded by bars, cafes and restaurants. We definitely had value for money. As a last point, you get a discount for booking in advance and a further discount if you pay your bill in cash on departure (either in YTL or Euros).
