and no its not for me!! I have been asked by my friend's husband to get ideas for her 65th birthday next year end of march. I know that hopefully a few people on here could point me in the right direction.
They are looking for a 3 night break to the Balearics or mainland Spain, but i'm not sure what the weather would be like end march or beginning april. They are usually not into historical things too much but more beach type breaks, so this is why I cannot decide and need some help please. I am also trying to think of a break here in England but the weather will be against them. Although any ideas are very welcome.

As you mention the weather might not be the best for a beach at that time, would they consider one of the Canary Islands or perhaps Egypt?
hi there, they would go to Canaries but not Egypt. Forgot to mention they don't do AI just bb or self-catering.
Depends where they are flying from but have a look on the Monarch site...ie Canaries (best weather) for 3nights end of March, reasonably priced, also the Costas but the weather won't be so good. The Balearics are usually a summer destination, but Palma in Majorca may be an option.

I would be more tempted to look at the Canary islands then, they should get much better weather than either mainland Spain or one of the Balearic islands.
