Just a quick question!
I bank with both First Direct (HSBC), and my card is a *Maestro* card and Barclays, where my card is a Visa - What i would like to know is if anyone can tell me, are both accepted widely in Sharm?
Im pretty sure that the Visa will be, just wondering about the Meastro card and whether the cash points take them aswell?!
We have just returned from Hurghada we used Barclay connect card at the mini banks without any problem we didn't have to notify them in advance unlike our Abbey card we had to give them the holiday dates for them to authorise the use of the card abroad, didn't use the cards in any shops most prefer cash English, Egyptian, USD or Euro , we did see the visa sign in some shops mainly the jewellers not sure about Maestro
