Hi De Hi

I tend to look at the following 2 websites, for a general price guide.

It all depends whether you want to do a diy, or package.

As I say, the following 2 websites, I have found to be much cheaper than Expedia, etc.

http://www.kayak.com/

http://www.sidestep.com/air/

Also, have a look at my Chicago trip report:

If you require any further assistance, ask away.

Well we have given up on Chicago this year. Despite looking at every which way we can't get the price down below £1100 for 5 nights in the Easter holiday.

So it's the WW1 battle fields for us instead.

That's a pity, I'm sure you would have had a great trip.

When we visited, we travelled with BMI from Manchester, have you looked at BMI's website?

They fly direct from Manchester to Chicago

I have looked everywhere and also went into a couple of travel agents to see if they could apply some tricks to shave the price. Alas it is the Easter break that is causing the problem.

We will just have to save up!

Is it the airfare that is causing the problem?
I am seeing some GREAT rates at my favorite hotel- the Seneca- just a block off Michigan Ave (in the middle of the 'Golden Mile') - $115 per night plus tax, which is cheap for them.
