This might be of interest to any Apple fanboys reading this forum. Ipad prices in Thailand are a bit lower than in the UK, even with the bad exchange rate and will come down further when the Ipad is officially launched here in November. ( Current Ipad supplies are coming from Singapore apparently. ) Plenty of shops in MBK centre in the centre of BKK selling them. And if you can get the shop to give you a VAT receipt you can also claim the 7% VAT back at the airport.
Current prices, always sold unlocked so can be used with any carrier in UK or wherever you live:
WiFi: 16GB 18,000 baht, 32GB 21,500 baht, 64GB 24,500 baht
3G: 16GB 22,200 baht, 32GB 25,500 baht, 64GB 28,500 baht
Just need to be careful about support and warranties....you can't fix an iPad like you can a laptop or pc.

The Thai's are a funny lot, once you are out of the door with the item, they dont want to know if you go back wanting to change a faulty lead or a bit missing and the Manager will not come and deal with it (hides in his office)
