Hi all,
I'm off to Paleokastritsia in September and quite fancy a couple of trips to the Diaspontia islands. Are they worth going to have a wander round? I understand the ferry leaves from Sidari. Is it advisable to go on a guided tour or are they small enough to amble about on your own?

I have done the Erikousa Island trip which was very enjoyable. You have about 4 hours there which is not really enough time to investigate far inland though and the interior is very hilly. If you wanted longer you would have to book a night at the hotel on the island.
The trip leaves from Agios Stefanos NW, which is closer for you, and then picks up at Sidari after a lovely scenic trip along the coast. Go to this web-site for a few photos etc
