I don't think you can, your best bet is getting a flight down to Kerala, there are flights from there.

Years ago my hubby did a 2 dayer to lakshadweep islands he said it was the nicest place he has been, so if they were doing it years ago, then surely they would now? :?

I did go some years ago and it is the most beautiful place I have ever been. We flew to Cochin and then Agatti it is then a boat trip and you did need visas.

We booked it as part of a package but I think you would be able to book direct with alot of hassal...personally I think it is worth it.

You could book it direct through Casino hotel group who also own spice village

I have just found info regarding visas I am not sure what web page but it was but said you need a special permit obtainable from The Lakshadweep Administration, Welllington Island Harbour Road Kochi - 3. I would try contacting the Casino Hotel Group they might be able to help you. We have been twice and both times it was dealt with by the travel company however we did meet someone back packing and he had managed to obtain a permit while he was there.

jacqui williams is right, you can get the permit from Kochi. Generally the travel agent or tour operator who is organising your trip to Lakshadweep will arrange your permit, its not such a big problem to get the permit.

Cheers

Hi everyone...

Has anyone here visited Lakshadweep Islands?
Thinking of taking a few days / week away from Goa when we go in March.
Do you need a different visa?

Cheers

You need a special permit and are only allowed to stay for a limited time in designated resorts (i.e. expensive) Only 3 islands are available for foreigners to visit. Daily flights Cochin
