If memory serves me, I think they close early on Good Friday, and shut on easter Sunday, but are open the rest of the time.
I live in Albufeira.
Many shops here will be closed on both Good Friday and Easter Sunday. I haven't yet seen any notices locally about larger shops being closed on Good Friday other than that on public holidays many close at 1pm anyway.
Some larger stores will be open Easter Sunday but may close at 1pm. Restaurants and bars don't usually close on these dates unless Sunday is a normal closing day.
In other words - don't know for sure!
