My wife and I are 70, and we generally go to Lagos for September and October. The weather is mild then but the area is "walkable" for us oldies. In addition, Lagos doesn't attract the lager and chips fraternity which is a plus.

Albufeira is not for you then, sorry.

Try Quarteira, Monte Gordo or Vilamoura Debby.

Stay away from Lagos as it's full of snobs like Dan... :rofl
