I wouldn't want to rain on your Mum's excitement about getting away, but has she looked into travel insurance yet? The cost may be as much as the cost of the holiday if her treatment was very recent.

well its looks nice.but if it was me i would stay nextdoor in the Calypso. For which ticks all the boxes you need.Just make sure you put all your mums had on insurance. Then use a shuttle bus to get there to hotel. When there you can nip in the new reffitted hotel and check it out.Better than spending loads and its not up to your standards.

There won't be many reviews of the Flash yet as it's only just
re-opened.
I've seen pics, it looks smart but I think I'd let them iron out any bugs
before I went.
Good point made about travel insurance!

I hope you manage to get them sorted and that they have a great time.

Have you had a look at the Riviera Beach hotel? It has been number 1 on Trip Advisor for a while now.
It may be worth having a look at the reviews and photos.
Its near the Rosamar and is an adult only hotel.

thanks all for your quick replies- just sending a quick message for work.

Jay- yes the riviera beach was the first option- but that is fully booked up (Even when i tried booking separate flights- and trying the number of different tour operators that just book accomodation)- that hotel really does look nice- and its no wonder its fully booked with being number 1 on trip advisor.

Yes I think she realises the insurance is going to be sky high- her consultant mentioned this- and even said some of her patients told her they travel without insurance!!!! Not that she was in any way encouraging this- quite the opposite- but mum said she would never ever consider doing this- (My aunt went through the same thing as my mum- a few years ago- but without the chemo- and her insurance was sky high- but the difference between the insurance company she eventually went with was hundreds of pounds- i will be ringing her tonight to ask her which company she went with- I know she said it was the cheapest- and specialised in breast cancer-

I think you may be right- maybe a good idea to let the hotel iron all the cracks out first before booking- as it has only been open for about 3 months.- unless of course some cracking reviews go up on trip advisor.

They want no less than 4 star- and would prefer 5 star - which i dont think there is such a hotel with 5 stars is there. ????- has to be pretty central- wheelchair/disabled friendly- excellent food- and preferably adult only- not asking for much- lol.

Will post back let you all know what hotel we book- and about the insurance. Will trawl through all the top ten hotel reviews on T. A and see which one ticks all the boxes.

Thanks again- for all replies
