The 'Edificio da Praia' is indeed closed. A notice on the door says "Closed! Danger! Falling objects! Reconstruction project under way'
A small fence has been put up across the building on the beach side. The other bits of Inatel were open.
I saw an item on the Inatel.pt website suggesting that the "emblematic beachside building" is to be reconstructed and continue in use as a hotel. Given the state of it my guess is it won't be too soon!
