Is he Irish, why would he need a British passport to travel. If the Irish passport is still valid then he doesn't have a problem. Though I believe Irish 5yr passports are only issued to children. If he is over 18 years then he will need a 10year one eventually.

Yeah he is from Ireland. He got it last April & turned 18 in november there, will it still be ok or would he need to apply for a new 10 year one

My 19 year old son is using his (British) 5 year passport and will carry on using it until it expires next year.

Not sure about the 5 year bit but my hubby has irish passport and when we all give our £10 at Dalaman he gets about £3 change

Irish Passport holders should only pay £5 for their entry visa.
My friend has duel nationality and the miser uses his Irish passport to save money

never quite understood why the difference in price of entry visa, can anyone explain.

Hi I also have dual nationality, maybe I should start using my Irish one for Turkey then I could go twice for the price of once Ha Ha :lol: Maggie
