go to google maps and type in luxor...then follow the road south, and you will find a hotel that looks like a honecombe from the satelite image...

I think you will follow the road running close to the Nile NORTH until you see the hotel, which looks like an insect with legs.

Use the satellite image as compared to the map and follow the image up (scroll it down) along the bank of the Nile until you can see the hotel with the pool.

The hotel is about 10-15 minutes by bus from the temples and operates a small shuttle bus running in to Luxor and it will drop you off and pick you back up at the temples and museum etc.

I keep downloading google earth to my pc then always end up uninstalling the programme. It's too big and I tend to find the places I want to look at closely just haven't been updated. Grr

Hi there,
Try looking on http://www.luxortraveltips.com You should find a good map there. The Sofitel Karnak is a fair way outside the main town but runs a regular shuttle bus and in the daytime a motor boat on the Nile into town.
