We have been to Turunc in April, not much open, but more in Marmaris, very few holidaymakers and very quiet. The weather when we were there was a bit like an English summer. Cool and rainy when we arrived, then improved and some of the days were lovely very warm, sunbathing weather, but evenings chilly. You will need jackets or warm jumpers etc. Swimming pools are not open in Turunc till May, not sure about Marmaris, but would probably be too cold for comfort if they are!
If you like walking its the perfect time to do the walk along the path by the beach from Marmaris to Icmeler - really lovely walk! Much too hot later in the season though. Its a good time of year to hire a car. There are some great places to see in the area around the Bozburun peninsula.

Hi Lizzy b we were in Marmaris last April all shops were open some bars were closed but were in process of opening. We were able to sunbathe during the day but did get some rain.we went in pool once it was too cold for us but plenty of others were in pool all the time . We found that a light jacket or cardigan during the day and evening was ok ( during day was for the rain ) we only had one bad day of rain though we had one day of a rain shower . But for the time of year only expected.We went week before Easter travelled home on Good Friday . I ended up with heat stroke on the last day which is hard to believe .The Market was on we also went to the Market in Ichmeler .Our Hotel was Full ( Grand Ideal ) It was busy really . Hope this helps and have a fab time . We not back there till August can't wait we doing 3 weeks

Well about April , there is not alot of action here in marmaris , but most of the shops star opening and people trying to organize their places for the coming season , weather can be still cold at nights but during the day its fine. Best place to do any shopping will be the marmaris grand bazaar .
