As you have heard not much in the nightlife scene. We are off to Maharba Palace once again in 3 weeks time, very little on in the evening, maybe belly dancer or similar one evening, and piano player mostly othernights, most hotels are the same, but this hotel is lovely and we found the food excellent last time we stayed, thats why we have chose this hotel again,we booked half board and upgraded to full board for £4 each per day.Well for eating out I believe there are a couple of nice restaurants in the marina, about 10 minutes walk, friends of ours have dined at The Mediteranean, excellent. In the evenings we often take a walk out to some of the other hotels to see what entertainment they have on,this time we are also going over the road to the Kanta, they have a so called Irish bar,so giving that a try.Hotel Kenz a couple of Ks away has a good animation team and I believe they put some good entertainment on,so will jump in a taxi and try there, also there is the Golf Brau a german bar opp the waterpark, next to that is Golf Residence Hotel,we have stayed there in the past and not been to bad in the evenings. There is a new Sound and Light show just outside Sousse opened £22 each inc coach and meal, your rep will tell you about that, believe it or not but the reps night is a good night out,for Tunisia THey put that on at the Casino in Sousse. If you get a cloudy day go for a walk to some of the other hotels and have a look around and see what they have on,hope this helps, have a nice holiday.

The Casino in Sousse is no longer a casino as such and has been closed for some years but is used to put on some shows now. Keep an eye out for 'Changing Ladies' a fantastic drag show which is on every week - I can't remember off hand which hotel it is in but you won't have any problem tracking them down. Another drag show is The Dream Girls - quite good but not a patch on Changing Ladies in my opinionn. As Crispy says, you can go into any of the other hotels and sample their entertainment so you should find plenty to do in the evenings. Do find time to go and sit in one of the cafes by the musical fountain in PEK and enjoy a drink or meal one evening if the weather is nice.

They are on there a couple of times a week according to the notice outside, but I can't remember which days. Changing Ladies are the best of the drag shows in Tunisia and I'ver seen them a couple of times in the past. They do the rounds of some of the hotels, as well as the Casino Caraibe. Mark their leader comes from Holland. Their new show is apparently fantastic, with new costumes and routines, including "River Dance". I didn't see them last week as my hotel, the Marhaba Beach, had the Golden Girls. I was a bit sceptical as Changing Ladies is so fantastic and I've also seen the Dream Girls out there, who aren't bad, but the Golden Girls were very good - three men, the leader from Germany, one from Italy and a Tunisian and well worth the 10 dinar admission.

A good venue to see the Changing Ladies is the Golf Residence in PEK on a Friday night. Like Aslemma said, it's only 10 Dinars (£4) and the most fun you can have in Port El Kantaoui with your clothes on!

Changing Ladies is also on at the Royal Kenz in PEK. I think its on a Tuesday?

Changing Ladies certainly get around. They really are the best of the shows but both Dream Girls and Golden Girls are a fun night out and for less than £4 do help to pass a pleasant evening.

We went to see the Changing Ladies a couple of weeks ago,a very good act, costumes were fantastic,we went to Golf Residence Hotel to see them on a Friday night, they are also on at the Royal Kenz on a Friday evening,as for the rest of the nightlife, not much.We stayed at the Marhaba Palace again, lovely hotel, but just a piano player or resident duo that cant sing every evening, and occasionally guitarist in the american bar, again no good, but not one fakir show in the 2 weeks or anything else, but we did go a couple of times to the Royal Kenz much better, their animation team put on a fabulous show one evening, very professional, thinking of staying there next time. The colourful fountains are switched on in the evening opposite the marina between 8.45 till 9.15 but we could hardly hear the music only 1 speaker a bit far away.Popular place was the Puka Irish pub, they bring you dishes of popcorn, nuts and crisps with your drinks, very salty!!,karoke most evenings if no football, got quite busy in there,by the way Changing Ladies are down to 2 from last weekend, the one from Belgium has gone back home till after xmas.
