Under the Package and Travel Regulations (P&TR) I believe that a tour operator is liable in law for any failure or negligence of its subcontractors.
I've also noted elsewhere that "negligence" is judged by our standards in the UK, not those where the incident took place. But looking at the P&TR I can't seem to pin-point where exactly it says this. Can anyone help please?
It true to state that tour operators are responsible for the action of their suppliers, however tour operators are only required to abide by the local regulations of the country in question.
