Playa de Muro is basically a beach resort. There is not a lot to see actually in the resort, other than the nature park S'Albufera, which is right by the Esperanza. The town of Alcudia is easily reached by bus. Pollensa old town and Formentor are more of a faff by public transport. Otherwise, there are any number of excursions island-wide for which you don't really need car hire.
