New to the site, and wondered if I could get some advice.

As anybody had any success or disasters with booking via price comparison websites when booking a holiday. I have seen the huge attention they get on FB etc and some bad reviews generally on the web and therefore wondered if anyone can comment as to whether or not their worth looking at?
